Carol
Wicker
Carol Wicker is the owner and manager of
Fence Post Farms, a boarding and lesson stable in Anne Arundel County,
Maryland, with an emphasis on introduction of the horse and related activities
to beginner riders. Mrs. Wicker is a member of the Maryland
Horse Council, Maryland Farm Bureau, and the Pasadena
Horse and Pony Club. She also has a long standing association with the
Linthicum 4-H Club and has introduced many Girl Scouts to the horse through the
Girl Scouts horse Lovers and Riding Programs. Carol was previously a member of
the Board of Inspection of Horse Riding Stables, which was expanded into the Maryland Horse Industry
Board.
Vision for MHIB: I am pleased to continue to
serve on the Maryland Horse Industry
Board as the representative for licensed barns in Maryland and I look
forward to hearing from the many equestrians I represent. Your comments and
suggestions are welcome. It is my belief the board will give the much needed
support to the horse sport to make the horse more visible and accessible. We
will be a voice for our horses!
