Robin worked for the Maryland State Police as cadet from 1982 thru 1983. She briefly worked in private industry between 1984-1986. In 1986 she was reinstated as a state employee, assigned to the Weights and Measures division of the Maryland Department of Agriculture. In 1987 she was transferred to the Animal Health section of MDA as an inspector for the Veterinary Board and the Horse Industry Board. Her duties with MDA range from inspection work, administrative work, to serving on various committees, and working at the annual State Fair.
